Two lifeguards in red swimsuits and white rash guards with orange rescue tubes over their shoulders change shifts at a white lifeguard stand beside a clear community pool.

Every guard’s certificate, and the day it runs out.

Your roster carries each guard’s credential and expiration date, and every staffed pool gets a shift report. Community pools hire lifeguard companies on those credentials.

Who you can send on Thursday.

Each guard’s line shows the day a certificate runs out, so you renew the earliest first.

VendoRFP checks your company’s documents. The roster is your own scheduling record.

A shift report that shows who stood the post.

Staffing is priced by the guard hour, so every report carries the hours covered, the positions staffed and the lifeguards on duty. Rescues and assists go on it too, and a quiet day gets a zero in that field.

What a lifeguard company files.

A community sets its own list for lifeguard companies. Left alone, it asks for these four.

  • W-9 and business license

We read both before the lifeguard RFPs show which community is hiring.

  • Lifeguard certification

Red Cross or Ellis & Associates, filed for the guards you place.

  • Background check

The screening record for guards who work around residents and children.

  • General liability

A current certificate. A community can set a minimum limit on it.

Questions a staffing owner asks.

Which documents do I need?

Whatever the community set for lifeguard companies, starting from your W-9. Left alone, it asks for your business license, general liability, the lifeguard certification and the background check as well. Your roster is the record you schedule from, and you decide who stands which post.

How do I price the work?

By the guard hour, with a rate for each staffed pool. The season and the hours of coverage are the community’s to state in its RFP.

What happens if my general liability certificate expires?

Community names on RFPs are hidden from you the day it lapses, and they come back as soon as you upload the renewed certificate.

Put your certificates to work.

File your lifeguard certification once and read the staffing RFPs that ask for it.
